Présentation
The Indépendance project is located in Molenbeek, just a stone’s throw from the canal and Porte de Ninove. The project consists of the renovation of 2 industrial buildings that were transformed into spacious and brightly-lit dwellings with a series of common spaces.
The Indépendance project is located in a very mixed-use neighbourhood (residental, commercial, and infrastructural areas). A tramline and several buses stop just in front the building, and the metro (and train) stations Gare de l’Ouest and Comte de Flandres are only a 10-minute walk away.
The two buildings are connected by a set of flat, vegetated roofs in the interior of the block. Fifteen apartments (studios with 1, 2 and 3 bedrooms) face Rue de l’Indépendance, while 6 apartments (1 and 2 bedrooms) are accessible via Rue Ransfort.
The residents of the 21 apartments share a series of common areas, such as a communal laundry room, a multi-purpose room and a bicycle parking lot. In addition, each building has a space for storing pushchairs, as well as waste disposal and technical facility rooms.
Each apartment, with the exception of the two apartments located on the ground floor on Rue de l’Indépendance, has a terrace and/or small garden, as well as storage space outside the apartment (either on the ground floor or on the first floor). There is also the possibility to buy a parking space in the adjacent parking garage.
