Buying a home

How do I buy a CLTB home? What are the terms and conditions?

Registration

Info session (online or in our offices)

Attending an informational meeting is mandatory in order for your registration to be considered.

At this meeting, we will explain how CLTB works, what differentiates us from the private market, the terms and commitments for buying with CLTB, the sale price, etc.

Homes for sale

There are no apartments for sale at the moment.

Only people who are validly registered with the CLTB can apply for a home. Candidate-owners are kept informed of home sales by email.

1. Information session

Attend an information session, complete the registration form distributed and send us a copy of your identity card (and that of your spouse or cohabiting partner) to welcome@cltb.be.

2. Numéro de référence

You will then receive confirmation of your registration by e-mail, indicating your reference number. This number determines your priority for access to a home.

We'll keep you up to date with new homes for sale by e-mail and SMS alert.

4. Application

You apply for the flats that interest you. Being contacted about a unit for sale does not yet mean that the property of your choice has been allocated to you.

Conditions for admission to a flat

  1. Be on the CLTB register.
  2. Be of legal age.
  3. Be registered in the population register or the register of foreigners (at least the candidate).
  4. Not already own a home in Belgium or abroad.
  5. Not exceed the income ceiling for the price category of the home applied for.
  6. Be able to finance the purchase of the home.
  7. Pay a €2,000 deposit as soon as you are selected to buy a home.
  8. Agree to take part in support meetings for future residents.

Compliance with these conditions is checked each time you apply for a flat.

Community Land Trust Brussels sells the homes but does not grant the mortgage.
